The Booker Look

Week 13 Waiver Wire Post

Remember to go back and check out previous waiver wire posts. I don’t like to write up the same waiver claims over and over, but instead bring you new players that could benefit your teams.

Week 12 Top Performers (Points are based on standard PPR formats)

QBs

Deshaun Watson (Texans) 33.12, Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) 31.28, Kirk Cousins (Vikings) 26.18, Aaron Rodgers (Packers) 25.64, Tom Brady (Buccaneers) 21.70.

RBs

Derrick Henry (Titans) 38.50, Antonio Gibson (Washington Football Team) 36.60, James Robinson (Jaguars) 26.90, Nick Chubb (Browns) 26.60, Latavius Murray (Saints) 25.60.

WRs

Tyreek Hill (Chiefs) 57.90, Will Fuller V (Texans) 35.10, Jarvis Landry (Browns) 28.30, DK Metcalf (Seahawks) 27.70, Allen Robinson (Bears) 27.40.

TEs

Dallas Goedert (Eagles) 20.50, Robert Tonyan (Packers) 17.70, Evan Engram (Giants) 16.90, Rob Gronkowski (Buccaneers) 16.60, Travis Kelce (Chiefs) 16.20.

Ks

Younghoe Koo (Falcons) 21.00, Graham Gano (Giants) 13.00, Jason Sanders (Dolphins) 12.00, Robbie Gould (49ers) 11.00, Dustin Hopkins (Washington Football Team) 11.00, Jason Myers (Seahawks) 11.00.

D/ST

Falcons (Opponent Raiders) 28.00, Panthers (Opponent Vikings) 19.00, 49ers (Opponent Rams) 17.00, Texans (Opponent Lions) 16.00, Washington Football Team (Opponent Cowboys) 15.00, Packers (Opponent Bears) 15.00, Rams (Opponent 49ers) 15.00.

Waiver Wire Targets (Rostered percentages are based on standard ESPN Leagues)

QB

Ryan Tannehill (Titans)- The fact that Tannehill is only rostered in 56.60% of leagues is confusing. Although he might not have the top-end numbers like Mahomes, Watson, or Rodgers, Tannehill has been very consistent this season and currently ranks as the 9th overall QB in fantasy. Another reason why this man needs to be rostered is his upcoming schedule for weeks 13-15. In these games the Titans will get the Browns, Jaguars, and Lions, all of which rank in the bottom part of the league against opposing QBs and WRs. Rostered in 56.60% of leagues.

RBs

Cam Akers (Rams)- Just when we thought maybe Darrell Henderson would be the lead back on this team, Sean McVay keeps us on our toes and Akers has the better day. Whether it was play design or part of the game plan, Akers just looked like the better RB, as both Henderson and Malcom Brown combined for 23 yards on 13 carries. It seems like Akers is the more efficient back and can impact both the running and passing game. Rostered in 27.90% of leagues.

Devontae Booker (Raiders)- With Josh Jacobs suffering an ankle sprain in the game this past week those that have him will want to lock up his back up Booker for insurance. The game against the Falcons definitely didn’t go as the Raiders had wanted and the rushing totals for both Jacobs and Booker suffered. This week the Raiders get the Jets who have ranked towards the bottom of the league. This game should be a better matchup than last week regardless of who the RB is. Rostered in 5.30% of leagues.

WRs

Tim Patrick (Broncos)- If last week showed us anything, it is that a competent QB is essential. No fault to Kendall Hinton, who was forced into the starting role with absolutely no practice, as he was just out matched. This week the Broncos should have one of their QBs back, and although this is a tough matchup versus the Chiefs, Patrick has produced this season. This might not be a priority target for some teams, as you might have a solid WR group, but for those dealing with injuries or in deeper leagues, Patrick could be a decent option. Rostered in 15.40% of leagues.

Denzel Mims (Jets)- Since returning to the lineup in Week 7, Mims has steadily improved and gained more opportunities. Since Week 9, Mims has seen no less than 8 targets, which is a reassuring sign for someone that missed the beginning portion of the season. With his involvement in each game being this consistent, Mims is worth a look. This week the Jets get a battered Raiders team that is coming off of a demoralizing loss, so I would expect that the Raiders try to run up the score. If that is the case there will be plenty of opportunities for garbage time points as the Jets will most likely be playing from behind. Rostered in 4.90% of leagues.

TEs

Robert Tonyan (Packer)- Although there have been some peaks and valleys throughout the season for Tonyan, he has provided teams with very strong outings for a majority of the year. What makes him a strong add candidate is his remaining schedule that has plenty of favorable matchups with the Eagles, Lions, Panthers, Titans, and if your league has a 17 week schedule they get the Bears again. Rostered in 46.10% of leagues.

D/ST

Packers- Coming down the stretch for the fantasy season I have been looking for additions that could have an impact for rosters, either through good matchups or based on opportunities (specifically injury related). The Packers have a very favorable schedule coming down the stretch with the challenge coming in Week 16 against the Titans. However, prior to this game the packers get the Eagles, with Carson Wentz leading the league in turnovers, Lions, and Panthers. If you are looking for a defense that presents itself with high upside potential and low floor risk the packers are an intriguing option. Rostered in 46.60% of leagues.

Sleepers

David Moore (Seahawks)- This is a deep sleeper here. The main targets in the Seahawks offense are Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett. But, Russell Wilson has looked Moore’s way. Last night Wilson threw a surprise fade to Moore instead of either Lockett or Metcalf. The overall involvement is not there for Moore, but if for instance teams key in on Lockett or Metcalf, there should be opportunities for Moore to produce. Rostered in 2.80% of leagues.

Gabe Davis (Bills)- With John Brown on the IR the door was opened for Davis, and in the game versus the Chargers he immediately had an impact. Davis has had good performances this season when  either Brown or Stefon Diggs has missed time, which is why I am highlighting him here. Although in weeks 13-16 there is only one good matchup, the void left open by Brown’s absence allow for an increase in snaps and potential targets. Rostered in 1.10% of leagues.

Ito Smith (Falcons)- This one is a speculative addition if Todd Gurley is again absent. With Gurley out this past weekend we all expected Brian Hill to get the lion share of the carries, when in fact Smith and Hill split the carries 50/50. But, it was Smith who provided more efficiency as he had ten more yards and scored a touchdown. However, if Gurley is back this potential addition is a non-factor. Rostered in 0.80% of leagues.

All aboard the Wentz-Wagon?

Week 8 Loves & Hates Loves QBs Carson Wentz (Eagles)- The number 7 QB this season is Wentz , who gets a Cowboys team that has been beaten up in recent weeks. No matter who Wentz has had to throw to this season, all he has done is put up big numbers. Through all the injuries to the wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends, Wentz has been able to cover up the Eagle’s deficiencies. The Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in the NFL across the board. The Cowboys are 23rd against QBs, 24th for RBs, 25th for WRs, and 23rd for TEs. These rankings paint a picture of a defense that can be shredded. Further, the Cowboys have allowed on average 20.71 points to QBs. With Travis Fulgham being a steady contributor, the two should be able to tear apart the Cowboys defense.   Dereck Carr (Raiders)- This game against the Browns has the makings to be a high scoring affair. Both defenses are poor when it comes to defending opposing QBs and WRs. The Browns last week were in a shootout...

That’s the way we became the BRADY BUNCH!

Week 9 Loves & Hates Loves QBs Tom Brady (Buccaneers)- Brady gets one of the easier matchups this week when he goes up against the Saints. This season Brady ranks as the 5th QB, he has put up solid numbers all season, with the exception of the Panthers game in Week 2. Getting back to the game this week, the Saints put up little challenge to QBs (27th), WRs (23rd), and TEs (30th). The Saints defense has been thrown on this season, and with strong WRs, and TEs on the Buccaneers, Brady should be able to put up another big performance. Plus you should be looking to stack Brady with either Mike Evans or Rob Gronkowski .   Josh Allen (Bills)- Allen gets one of the best matchups anyone could ask for this week. He gets a Seahawks team that doesn’t know how to stop, or even slow down the pass. The Seahawks are ranked 31st against QBs, and have allowed 25.40 points. The stats that the Seahawks have allowed this season for QBs is shocking for the once fabled Legion of Boom. They h...

The Adams Family

Week 15 Loves & Hates I decided to switch up my format for the last couple weeks of the playoffs to bring you more names rather than my write ups. I will still be writing up one player per role, but there will also be a list of other players I like for the week ahead. Enjoy, and I hope you like the content. As always be sure to follow the blog by clicking on the three lines in the top right and putting in your email. Also if you are on twitter be sure to follow me @B_FFootball. Thanks again for the support and good luck in your playoffs. Go Pack Go. Loves QBs Aaron Rodgers (Packers) Jared Goff (Rams) Matthew Stafford (Lions) Ryan Tannehill (Titans)- With all of the deficiencies the Lions have on defense I expect the likes of Tannehill and A.J. Brown to connect early and often. Last week the Lions faced off against the Packers and to my surprise, they limited Aaron Jones and the Packers RBs to a modest day. However, in doing so they neglected the passing game and allowed Rodg...
